Bobbi Starr — Biography & Career

Bobbi Starr, born in 1983, is an American adult film performer, director, and writer. She began working in the industry at age 22, first appearing in fetish productions for Kink.com before moving into more mainstream adult film work. CNBC later included her among its 12 most popular pornographic film actresses in both 2011 and 2013.

In addition to performing, Starr developed a directing career with Evil Angel. Her first credited project for the company was Bobbi's World, released in 2011 and described as a female point-of-view production. Her work behind the camera expanded her profile beyond performance and established her as part of the industry's production side as well.

Starr also took part in media and publishing projects connected to the business. She was a finalist on the reality series America's Next Hot Porn Star, a competition program modeled on America's Next Top Model. She blogged for Popporn.com and wrote a column for Fox Magazine titled "Adventures in Porny Land." She was also featured in a book by Frederick Community College professor Rich Moreland about feminists working in the pornography industry.

Her career honors include the 2012 AVN Award for Female Performer of the Year and the 2012 AVN Award for Best Porn Star Website for BobbiStarr.com. She also received XRCO Awards in 2009 and 2010, and she was inducted into the AVN Hall of Fame in 2026. As a director and producer, she was recognized by AVN in 2012 for Bobbi's World and again in 2013 for Bobbi Violates San Francisco.
