Briana Banks — Biography & Career

Briana Banks is a German performer and model whose career has included magazine features, screen work, television appearances, and licensed merchandise. She first worked under the name Mirage before adopting the professional name Briana Banks in 1999, beginning the next phase of her screen career under that name.

In June 2001, she was Penthouse magazine's Pet of the Month. The following year, she was among the earliest performers in her field to have an action figure produced in her likeness through Cyber F/X and Sota Toys. Banks also appeared in the 13-episode cable series Vivid Valley, produced by World of Wonder, which was broadcast in Europe in 2005 and later aired on Playboy TV.

Her award record began in 2001 with wins at the Hot d'Or Awards for Best New American Starlet and the NightMoves Awards for Best New Starlet, alongside an XRCO Award nomination for Starlet of the Year. She later received AVN Award nominations in 2003 for Female Performer of the Year, in 2004 for Best Supporting Actress - Video, in 2006 for Crossover Star of the Year, in 2007 for Contract Star of the Year, and in 2008 for Best Actress – Film. In 2005, she won an Exotic Dancer Award in the Adult Movie Feature category.

Banks stepped away from video performance in 2006 and returned in 2008; that year brought five AVN Award nominations in the annual awards cycle. In 2009, she was inducted into the AVN Hall of Fame.

In 2011, Banks appeared in a parody of the animated series American Dad!, portraying Francine Smith and was featured on the release's box cover. After announcing in late 2015 that she would return in 2016 following another five-year hiatus, she was inducted into the XRCO Hall of Fame in 2016.
