Jenna Haze — Biography & Career
Jenna Haze (born 1982) is an American former adult film performer, director, and producer. She began her career in 2001 and worked as a contract performer for Jill Kelly Productions from 2002 to 2005. In 2004, she appeared in the HBO documentary series Pornucopia, which examined the adult entertainment business in California. After leaving Jill Kelly Productions in 2005, she continued her career as an independent performer.
Her early recognition included the 2003 AVN Award for Best New Starlet. In 2006, a release marked her return to mixed-gender scenes after more than three years, and later that year she began writing a column for Fox magazine. In 2007, she received AVN Awards in two performance categories and a nomination for Female Performer of the Year. The following year, she won another AVN performance award and was named Adult Movie Entertainer of the Year at the Adult Nightclub and Exotic Dancer Awards.
In 2009, Haze co-hosted the AVN Awards with Belladonna and won the AVN Award for Female Performer of the Year, becoming the second performer to receive both that honor and Best New Starlet during a career. The same year, she launched Jennaration X Studios, a production company distributed through Jules Jordan Video, and was credited there as a director and performer. In 2012, she was inducted into both the AVN and XRCO Halls of Fame.
Beyond her industry work, Haze appeared in the films Superbad (2007) and Crank: High Voltage (2009). She was featured in the 2007 photography book Naked Ambition: An R-Rated Look at an X-Rated Industry. In 2012, she announced her retirement from performing and said she had not filmed a scene since April 2011, while leaving the possibility of continuing to direct and produce.
