Remy LaCroix — Biography & Career
Remy LaCroix is an American adult film performer whose on-screen career began in December 2011. Before entering the industry, she worked as a specialty dancer at music festivals and at Burning Man. Her live performances included fire dancing, aerial silks, and hula-hooping. Her first filmed work was for Kink.com.
That early production was later discussed in Kink, the 2013 documentary produced by James Franco. After about six months of shooting, LaCroix announced that she was leaving the business, citing burnout. She completed prior commitments, worked in Kink.com's talent department, and promoted unreleased projects before returning to on-camera work in November 2012.
Trade and business media took note of her rise in 2013 and 2014. LA Weekly ranked her tenth on its list of performers it considered possible breakout stars, and CNBC included her in its annual Dirty Dozen list in both years.
Her awards during that stretch included the 2013 AVN Award for Best New Starlet, the 2013 XCritic Award for Best New Starlet, and the 2013 XRCO Award for Best New Starlet. In 2014, she won the AVN Award for Best Actress, the XBIZ Award for Best Actress in a feature movie for The Temptation of Eve, the XRCO Award for Best Actress for the same film, the XRCO Award for Female Performer of the Year, and the NightMoves Award for Best Female Performer in the editor's choice category.
In December 2014, LaCroix was announced as a contract star with ArchAngel Productions, though the arrangement ended less than three months later. In 2016, she served as a judge on the web-based reality series The Sex Factor. She retired from professional shooting that year, announced her return to the industry in 2020, and filmed a comeback project for Bellesa in July 2022; it was released in September 2022.
