Privacy notice

This notice describes how the Volttube service at volttube.com handles information when you browse, play a video, adjust preferences or send a report. Volttube is the site's service name. The operator's legal identity and business address have not yet been published; this notice does not identify a registered US company.

Information on your device

There is no public registration or visitor account system. Preferences, saved channels and profiles, watch-later items, watch history and resume positions are stored in your browser. They are not synchronized to an account or another device.

• Theme, discreet-mode and grid cookies are set for up to one year so the server can render your chosen appearance. Changing a preference refreshes its cookie.
• Age confirmation uses a session cookie, or a cookie lasting up to 30 days when you select Remember me. A corresponding choice is also stored locally.
• Local storage holds preferences, history and saved items until you clear it. Watch history is limited to the most recent 500 stored entries.
• Optional advertising measurement and personalization choices default to off and can be changed in Preferences.

Use Preferences to disable saved history, clear watch history or clear site data. A remembered age confirmation may be retained by the site's clear-data action; remove all site data in your browser settings to remove that as well. These controls do not erase browser history, server records or provider logs.

Information received by the service

To deliver pages and media, the server and hosting providers receive connection information such as an IP address, requested address, timestamp and browser information. Searches and video requests reach the server even when local watch history is disabled. Server access logs can contain requested paths, query strings and referrer information.

The application records view and reaction events, including the affected video and viewing duration. It uses an IP-derived identifier that changes daily to limit duplicate events and abuse; hashing does not make information anonymous. Summary counts support catalog rankings and video statistics. There is no promise of anonymous browsing.

Reports and correspondence

A report includes its reason, affected content, your explanation, declaration, optional role and optional email address. A daily IP-derived identifier is used for rate limiting. Report details and case history are stored for moderation. The optional email field is encrypted in application storage; the free-text explanation is not an encrypted document vault. Do not include identity documents, passwords or unnecessary sensitive information in that field.

Reports are not published as visitor comments. Authorized administrators can access them for investigation and handling requests. A successful form submission returns a reference on screen; it does not itself confirm that an email was delivered or that a human has reviewed the case.

Providers and sharing

DigitalOcean hosts the application and database in Frankfurt, Germany. Video originals and other private objects use DigitalOcean Spaces in Frankfurt, while public media and images are delivered through its CDN. A CDN may deliver requests through locations outside your country. Hosting and delivery providers necessarily handle connection information. HTTPS protects data in transit but does not prevent recipients from processing it.

When the site's taxonomy automation is used, video titles and descriptions may be sent through OpenRouter to the selected model provider to generate category or tag suggestions. The integration does not send the video file, visitor watch history or report form contents for this purpose. The information displayed about a person in a supplied video may nevertheless be personal information.

Advertising is currently disabled in the site's global settings. An optional preference is not a guarantee about third-party websites reached through links. If new analytics, advertising or other processors are enabled, this notice and any required consent controls must reflect that change.

Retention

Browser storage remains until cleared or overwritten; cookies expire as described above. The server rotates web access logs daily and keeps 14 rotated files, so the exact period depends on activity and rotation. Daily database backups use a 14-day rolling retention; daily server backups use seven days. Administrative or migration snapshots can be held separately.

View and reaction records, submitted reports and moderation/audit records currently have no fixed automatic deletion deadline in the application. Closing a case or clearing browser history does not delete those server records. Information may also need to be retained for a dispute or legal preservation obligation. You can request a review of information linked to you through the form below.

Requests and choices

Use Other in the report form for a privacy request. Describe whether you seek access, correction, deletion, restriction or an objection to processing, and include an existing case reference if relevant. We may need sufficient information to locate a record and verify that a request concerns you. Do not send identity documents through the general form.

Rights, exceptions and response requirements depend on the law that applies to your circumstances. Where available, you may complain to your data-protection authority. The service has not published a controller identity, a jurisdiction-specific legal-basis assessment or a complete international-transfer statement; these remain necessary operator disclosures, not facts established by this notice.
