Annette Haven — Biography & Career
Annette Haven is an American screen performer whose career was active during the 1970s and 1980s. She entered film with a role in Lady Freaks in 1973 and went on to appear in nearly 100 productions. During a period of rapid growth in her field, she became one of its recognizable figures, building a substantial body of work across more than a decade.
Her early screen credits include Barbara Broadcast, A Coming of Angels, and Obsessed, all released in 1977. She also appeared in Maraschino Cherry in 1978 and Charli in 1981. Other credits from that era include Sex World, Dracula Sucks, and The Grafenberg Spot. Taken together, those films trace a steady run of screen work from the mid-1970s into the mid-1980s.
Haven also worked on projects outside that sector of filmmaking. She had a cameo in Blake Edwards's 1979 romantic comedy 10. She was later considered for the role of Holly in Brian De Palma's Body Double, released in 1984, though the part was ultimately played by Melanie Griffith. Haven remained involved with the production as a consultant on industry background, coached Griffith, and made a minor onscreen appearance.
Her career was later recognized with induction into the AVN Hall of Fame and the XRCO Hall of Fame. Those honors reflect the visibility of her screen work as well as her place in a period when performers from her field occasionally crossed into wider film projects. Her filmography and related production work together outline a career that connected specialty filmmaking with selected mainstream collaborations.
