Aurora Snow — Biography & Career

Aurora Snow is a retired American adult film performer, director, and columnist. She entered the industry at 18, initially planning to stay for only a year. One of her earliest professionally made and distributed films was More Dirty Debutantes 152, produced by Ed Powers. Her work later expanded beyond performing into directing and television presenting.

From May 2003 to May 2005, Snow was a contract performer and director for Sin City. During that period, she made her directorial debut for the company with Assploitations. She also hosted Private Calls on Playboy TV. After a ten-year career, she left the adult film industry in 2011 and moved from Los Angeles to Macon, Missouri.

Snow also appeared in mainstream entertainment. She had a role in the 2002 feature film The Rules of Attraction and later made a cameo appearance in Superbad. On January 6, 2010, she appeared in an episode of 1000 Ways to Die during the segment “Deadliest Munch.” In 2013, she appeared on The Young Turks to discuss racism in pornography.

As a writer, Snow has contributed articles to The Daily Beast and Glammonitor on the adult industry and women’s issues. She has also spoken at law schools, appearing at Harvard Law School in March 2014 for “Sex, Drugs, and Rolling Dice: The Regulation of Vice” and at the University of South Carolina School of Law in March 2015 for “Vice, Porn and American Culture.” Her honors include the 2003 AVN Award for Female Performer of the Year, induction into the XRCO Hall of Fame in 2011, and induction into the AVN Hall of Fame in 2017.
