Serenity — Biography & Career

Serenity, born on October 29, 1969, is an American former performer, media correspondent, columnist, and entrepreneur. Her screen career began in 1993 with work for Wicked Pictures, and she later became a contract performer for the company from 1996 through December 31, 2001. In September 2002, she signed a one-year, multi-picture deal with Hollywood Video. She announced her retirement from performing on September 22, 2004. During her career, Serenity received repeated recognition from major industry awards bodies. At the AVN Awards, she was nominated for Best Actress and Female Performer of the Year in 1998 and 1999, won Best Actress, Video in 2000, won Best Actress - Video in 2001, and received additional nominations in 2000, 2001, and 2002. She was inducted into the AVN Hall of Fame in 2005. Adult Video News also ranked her No. 36 on its 2002 list of The Top 50 Porn Stars of All Time. Her work in television included serving as a correspondent on E! and appearing in more than twenty Wild On! specials. In 1999, she appeared in a skit for The Man Show and reported from Erotica LA on Good Day L.A. In 2000, she appeared in the television series Action and in Frank Chindamo’s The Dalai Camel, part of the anthology Love Bytes. She also began reviewing films for Adult DVD Empire in May 2000 and served as a publisher and columnist for Showgirls magazine. Outside performing, Serenity developed a business career in retail and distribution. In June 1999, she launched Las Vegas Novelties with Mark Goodman, then became sole proprietor in 2001 after purchasing his half of the company. Las Vegas Novelties was acquired by Pipedream Products in March 2005. In November 2002, she joined Peter Chan and Steve Lane in launching C & L Wholesalers in Canberra, Australia.
