Shanna McCullough — Biography & Career

Shanna McCullough is an American actress and producer born in 1960. Her professional name combines Shanna, chosen after the heroine of a Kathleen E. Woodiwiss romance novel, with McCullough, which she associated with her Irish ancestry. Before her screen career, she worked in accounting, electrical work, and veterinary support.

Her acting received recognition in both film and video categories at the AVN Awards. Hands Off brought her the 1988 award for Best Actress in a video production. She won Best Supporting Actress in a film for Bobby Sox in 1997, followed by Best Actress in a film for Looker in 1999. Her performance in Double Feature received the 2000 Best Supporting Actress award in the video category. She also entered the AVN Hall of Fame and received a Free Speech Coalition Lifetime Achievement Award in July 2000.

McCullough's work extended into production. Her producing credits include Second Chance and True Love in 2002, Wonderland and Powerlines in 2005, and My Secret Life and Nowhere Angels in 2006. She also worked in production management on Soul Survivor, Chloe's Place, and Phantom Love in 2001, followed by Best Friends in 2002. These credits reflect work on both sides of the camera.

In 1999, Wired reported on ShannaCam, her subscription website using multiple cameras and continuous online broadcasting. She began withdrawing from adult performance in the early 2000s while retaining production credits. Away from screen work, she participated in the Los Angeles Marathon in 2008 and again in 2010. Her stage experience also included playing Janet Weiss with the Berkeley-based Rocky Horror performance group Indecent Exposure.
