Tommy Pistol — Biography & Career
Aramis Sartorio, known professionally as Tommy Pistol, is an American adult film performer and director whose work also spans stage, music, and independent film. Born in Queens, New York, he spent more than a decade with the sketch comedy group Cheese Theater and appeared in short and feature films. He was also a singer in the metalcore band AmoreA and played bass and rapped in the punk band Flemm.
He entered the adult industry in late 2005 after meeting Joanna Angel and became the first male performer on BurningAngel.com. Within a year, he expanded to other studios, including Bang Bros, VCA, and Vivid. He became especially known for parody roles, with lead performances in Evil Head and in productions based on Taxi Driver and Suicide Squad.
Credited under his given name, he wrote, directed, and starred in the 2010 horror-comedy The Gruesome Death of Tommy Pistol, and he contributed to its soundtrack as DJ Tommy Pistol. He later directed a zombie-themed production in 2013. His awards include the 2007 AVN Award for Best New Male Performer, the 2012 XBIZ Award for Male Acting Performance of the Year, the 2014 AVN Award for Best Actor for Evil Head, and the 2022 AVN Awards for Male Performer of the Year, Best Leading Actor, and Best Supporting Actor.
In 2015, he co-hosted the AVN Awards with Alexis Texas, becoming the first male performer in twenty years to host the ceremony. Outside adult productions, he has appeared under his given name in films including Frankie in Blunderland, Jurassic City, Bethany, Diminuendo, Pleasure, and On the Edge.
