Tori Black — Biography & Career
Tori Black, born in 1988, is an American screen performer and director from Seattle, Washington. In 2016, she said she had studied journalism at Western Washington University. Her career began at 18 while she was attending college and spending a summer vacation in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
During that trip, she responded to an advertisement for an adult talent agency, considered its offer, and returned a week later to start working. She gained early public notice as Penthouse Pet of the Month for December 2008, a credit that preceded her rise to wider industry recognition.
Black became the first person to win the AVN Female Performer of the Year award in consecutive years, receiving it in 2010 and 2011. She also won the XRCO Award for Female Performer of the Year in both 2010 and 2011. Later, she was inducted into both the XRCO Hall of Fame and the AVN Hall of Fame. CNBC named her one of the 12 most popular performers in the field in 2011 and again in 2012.
Her screen work also extended beyond that circuit. She guest-starred as Lexi Steele in “Gem and Loan,” the third episode of Ray Donovan’s second season, and she appeared in the film L.A. Slasher. In 2017, credited as Tori Black, she had a small part in the supernatural musical thriller American Satan.
Black later moved into directing. She made her directorial debut with a video for Elegant Angel’s website featuring Alina Li, the company’s Girl of the Month for June 2014. In March 2020, she was featured in KP Wolfe’s music video “You Can Call Me.”
